Michael Sentonas is the Chief Technology and Strategy Officer, APAC for Intel Security. Michael has been with the company for fifteen years, previously holding leadership roles such as VP and Chief Technology Officer of Security Connected, VP and CTO for Asia Pacific and, prior to this, head of Sales Engineering and Services for Intel Security in the Asia Pacific region.

In his role, Michael serves as a key champion for driving the integrated security architectures and platforms that have propelled Intel Security into a leadership position as the largest dedicated security provider in the world.

Michael is an active public speaker on security issues and provides advice to both governments and business on global and local cyber security threats. He gives regular insight on security issues and solutions through media including television, technology trade publications and technology centric Web sites. Michael has spoken around the world at sales conferences, customer and non-customer conferences and contributes to various government and industry association's initiatives on security.

He has over eighteen years of experience in the IT industry, focusing on internet security solutions with past roles including software development, security research and consulting and management.

Michael holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia and holds an Australian Government security clearance.
